NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED BY THE PUBLICATION OF THIS NOTICE The Center for Topographic Information in Sherbrooke (CTI-S) - a part of the Mapping Information Branch (MIB) - wishes to inform its current or potential suppliers of the amount of contracted-out geospatial data production work planned for year 2012-13. Note that the indicated values are subject to change, depending on available budgets and on the outcomes of cooperation agreements or customer requests. 1. PRODUCTION OF UPDATED TOPOGRAPHIC DATA (MAJBDG) Objective: Update data of the Georeference Data Base (GDB) based on Landsat7 or SPOT 4&5 orthoimages, and create a new generation of digital vector products (Geobase and CanVec). The Supply Arrangement (SA) method of procurement is used for contracting out purposes. The planned production for 2012-13 is between 150 and 300 data sets at the 1:50 000 scale. The first contracts should be awarded in the fall of 2012. Number of firms qualified: 6 Qualification: A Qualification is a prerequisite for this work and is neither subject to payment nor reimbursement. DATA PRODUCTION FOR THE NATIONAL HYDROGRAPHIC NETWORK (NHN) The team of the NHN Project is currently implementing a new acquisition process aimed at validating and involving specific aspects of the NHN. This new process, produced by NHN working unit (drainage area) and will among others assure: · the hydro network geometry continuity; · the continuity and the logic of the flow direction; · the continuity of network related toponymy. The contracted-out work scheduled for 2012-13 is estimated at 20 NHN Working Units (watersheds). A budget of approximately 40 000.00$ is allocated for this production. Qualification: The MAJBDG qualification is required to obtain National Hydrographic Network data production contracts. 3.
