    Nature ofrequirements:  Replacement of the Propulsion Control
    System (PCS) on the CCGS
              Pierre Radisson
    
    To design, manufacture and install a new Propulsion Control
    System (PCS) that will provide the same functionality as the old
    system and will meet or exceed the requirements contained in
    Annex A - Statement of Work (SoW),
    
    To carry out, within the Work Period of the Contract, all
    unscheduled work authorized by the 
    Contracting Authority as per Annex G, Procedure For Processing
    UnscheduledWork.
    
     Work location: Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
    
    The CCGS Pierre Radisson is a type 1200 vessel that is one in a
    fleet of three nearly identical icebreakers built between 1978
    and 1982. This project is being carried out within the framework
    of aVessel Life Extension program (VLE) that should eventually
    be extended to the other two similar vessels, CCGS
    DesGroseilliers and CCGS Amundsen. The contractor's proposal
    will apply to the CCGS Pierre Radisson only, but must include an
    option for performing similar work on the other two (2) vessels.
     
    
    A mandatory bidders' conference will be held in Quebec city
    (Quebec, Canada) at the CCG's facility located at 101 Champlain
    Blvd, between October 12 and Octobre 30, 2015. The exact date
    will beconfirmed on a subsequent amendment on the Buy & Sell
    Website. It is mandatory that the Bidder or a representative of
    the Bidder attend this conference. The scope of the requirement
    outlined in the bid solicitation will be reviewed and questions
    will beanswered. 
    
    A mandatory visit of a 1200 type ice breaker vessel will be held
    in Quebec city (Quebec, Canada)  at the CCG's facility located
    at 101 Champlain Blvd, between October 12 and October 30, 2015
    (Same day as the conference). It is mandatorythat the Bidder or
    a representative of the Bidder visit the vessel. The scope of
    the requirement outlined in the bid solicitation will be
    reviewed and questions will be answered. 
    
    Delivery Date: On or before March 15, 2017
    
    The Crown retainsthe right to negotiate with suppliers on any
    procurement.
