    Nature of Requirements: 
    This amendment is raised to change the closing date to August
    30,2012, add a code of conduct certification required with the
    bid and answers questions from potential bidders.
    
    Requirement : The Department of National Defence has a
    requirement to purchase lightweight trousers and jackets in
    Canadian Disruptive Pattern Temperate Woodland (CADPAT™ TW)
    and/or Canadian Disruptive Pattern Arid Region (CADPAT™ AR)
    which are to be manufactured in accordance with DSSPM
    2-6-87-7100, Manufacturing Data For Converged Coat, dated 6
    March 2012, DSSPM 2-6-87-6993, Manufacturing Data For Converged
    Trousers, dated 4 May 2012, DSSPM 2-2-80-023, specification for
    cloth, twist, nylon/cotton, 170g/m², dated 2012-01-31,
    D-80-001-500, specification for CADPAT™ (TW). dated 2012-01-31,
    and DSSPM 2-2-80-501, specification for CADPAT™ (AR) dated
    2012-03-01. One pre-award sample of jacket in size 7040 and
    trousers in size 7034 along with test results and Certificates
    of Compliance are required with the bid.
    
    Technical data should be automatically issued, under separate
    cover, upon request for the bid documents. Therefore, it is
    imperative that this request for the bid documentation be done
    as soon as possible to ensure timely receipt of the associated
    technical data. However, the Crown shall not be held responsible
    for untimely release of technical data, since the technical data
    package as well as the sealed samples shall be available for
    viewing at the following Public Works and Government Services
    Canada regional offices: Quebec, Quebec, Montréal, Quebec,
    Mississauga, Ontario, Edmonton, Alberta and Winnipeg, Manitoba.
    
    Firm quantity:
    The firm quantity requirement is for 45,188 trousers and 45,708
    jackets to be delivered to Montreal (Quebec) and Edmonton
    (Alberta). Delivery of the firm quantity is requested to start
    45 days after approval of the pre-production sample.
    
    "As and when requested" Specials:
    The total estimated quantity is 200 jackets and 200 trousers to
    be ordered in the first year and 100 each for the next three
    years on an "as and when requested" basis. 
    
    Option:
    This requirement also includes three options to purchase an
    additional estimated quantity of a minimum of 50% and a maximum
    of 100% of the firm quantity each year.
    
    Canadian Content: This requirement is subject to the Canadian
    Content Policy and is solely limited to Canadian goods.
