    Amendment No. 001 is raised to advise that:
    
    1)  the closing date has been extended to June 13, 2014, 2:00 pm.
    
    2)   the viewing sample of the toque is available for viewing at
    the following Department of Public Works and Government Services
    Regional Offices:  Montreal, QUÉ; Québec, QUÉ; Mississauga, ON;
    Winnipeg, MB; Edmonton, ALTA. and Vancouver, BC.

    Requirement:
    The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) has a requirement for
    Toques, Lined. 
    
    The items must be manufactured in accordance with the RCMP
    Specification G.S. 1045-361 dated March 11, 2014, the patterns,
    drawings and the viewing sample.
    
    Firm quantity
    Item 1 - Toques, Lined (Regular sizes) - quantity 10,000 units
    
    It is requested that the total firm quantity be delivered within
    45 calendar days of the date of the written notice of approval
    of the pre-production sample.
    
    Estimated quantity ("as and when requested")
    Item 2 - Toques, Lined (Regular sizes) - estimated quantity
    1,000 units
    Item 3 - Toques, Lined (Special sizes) - estimated quantity 10
    units
    
    The estimated quantities may be ordered on an "as & when
    requested" basis by the RCMP for a period of 36 months from the
    effective date of the contract.  Special size is defined as
    those sizes outside the realm of the scale of measurements.
    
    Delivery of the "as & when requested" quantities is requested
    within 30 calendar days from receipt of the order document to
    the RCMP in Ottawa, Ontario.
    
    Option
    This requirement also includes two (2) options to purchase an
    additional quantity as follows:
    
    Option 1:  for a maximum of 5,000 units exercisable for a period
    of 12 months from the date of contract award. 
    
    Option 2:  for a maximum of 5,000 units exercisable for a period
    of 24 months from the date of contract award.
    
    Pre-Award Sample
    A pre-award sample, Certificates of Compliance and laboratory
    test results may be requested after bid closing.
    
    Viewing Sample
    An RCMP viewing sample will be provided to bidders who are
    requested to provide a pre-award sample.  The viewing sample
    must be used for guidance of the manufacturer in all factors not
    covered by the specification.  Variation from the specification
    may appear in the sample in which case the specification shall
    govern.
    
    
    
    Paper Patterns
    A base pattern will also be provided to bidders who are
    requested to submit a pre-award sample. The full set of patterns
    either in individual sizes or as a graded nest will be provided
    after contract award.
    
    Canadian Content Policy
    This requirement is subject to the Canadian Content Policy and
    is solely limited to Canadian origin goods.

    by the Contracting Authority at least seven (7) calendar days
    prior to the bid closing date.
