    Nature of Requirements: 
    
    1.Requirement: 
    The Department of National Defence’s Directorate Soldier Systems 
    Program Management (DSSPM) has a requirement to purchase quantities of Jackets, Detachable Hoods and Trousers, Converged, Hot, Wet Weather, Static-Dissipative, CADPAT™.
    
    Firm Quantity(ies):
    Item 1 - Converged Jacket, Hot, Wet Weather, Static Dissipative, CADPAT™ TW - 8,510 units (5,106 units to Montreal, 3,404 units to Edmonton)
    
    Item 2 - Converged Trousers, Hot, Wet Weather, Static-Dissipative, CADPAT™ TW - 3,716 units (2,230 units to Montreal, 1,486 units to Edmonton)
    
    Item 3 - Hoods for Jacket Converged, Wet Weather, Static Dissipative, CADPAT™ TW - 2,000 units (1,200 units to Montreal, 800 units to Edmonton)
    
    The requirement includes "as and when requested" quantities for special sizes and for an estimated total quantity for 36 months of 300 units distributed amongst the following items:
    - Item 4 - Converged Jacket, Hot, Wet Weather,Static Dissipative,CADPAT™ TW 
    - Item 5- Converged Jacket, Hot, Wet Weather,Static-Dissipative,CADPAT™ AR 
    - Item 6 - Converged Jacket, Hot, Wet Weather,Static-Dissipative,CADPAT™ MT 
    - Item 7 - Converged Trouser, Hot, Wet Weather,Static-Dissipative,CADPAT™ TW - Item 8 - Converged Trouser, Hot, Wet Weather,Static-Dissipative, CADPAT™ AR - Item 9- Converged Trouser, Hot, Wet Weather, Static-Dissipative, CADPAT™ MT 
    
    This requirement also includes one (1) option (Items 10 to 18). The option may be exercised within a period of 36 months from contract award. The Option may be exercised for a minimum of 1,420 units per amendment distributed amongst the items and destinations.
    
    2.Technical Requirements:
    Technical Data will be issued, under separate cover, upon request to the Contracting Authority. Therefore, it is imperative that this request be done as soon as possible to ensure timely receipt of the associated Technical Data. Notwithstanding the above, Canada must not be held responsible for untimely release of technical data.

    The requirement is subject to the provisions of the Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA).
    
    4.Canadian Content:
    This requirement is subject to the Canadian Content Policy and is solely limited to Canadian origin goods as there are at least 2 known capable suppliers of Canadian goods. 
    
    
    5.Evaluation Procedures and Basis of selection: 
     - The Phased Bid Compliance Process (PBCP) applies to this requirement.
     - Canada intends to award up to three contracts for this requirement.
     - Refer to Part 4 of the Solicitation Document for details.
    
    6.Delivery:
    All firm deliverables are to be delivered to Montreal, Quebec and Edmonton, Alberta by October 25, 2022.
