Nature of Requirements: 
The National Research Council (NRC)Has a requiement for a
detection and quantification system of toxic gas content in
smoke generated during ASTM E662-93 tests. The system has to be
based on the FTIR technology and have to be connected directly
on the Govmark Smoke Chamber already in use in our facility. The
system has to be able to perform qualitative (identification)
and quantitative (volume) analysis of the gas produced during
the combustion tests of polymers and composites (thermoplastic
and thermoset). To maintain continuity in the results already
produced by the NRC, in addition to perform punctual
measurements, the system will have to reproduce the process
already in use by our research groups.Descritpion of the
Protocol to reproduce is detailed in Annex A. Technical
specifications are in accordance with the mandatory
specifications detailed in Annex A and at the prices stated in
Annex B - Basis of payment of this Solicitation.

The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any
procurement.
