The work under this contract involves the reconstruction of an existing marginal wharf at the Westhead Harbour Facilities located on Cape Sable Island, Shelburne County, N.S.
The work includes but is not limited to: 

.1 The demolition and removal of the existing wharf structure including
excavation and site preparation for the construction of the new cribwork wharf.
Demolition work to include temporary shoring to prevent undermining of the
adjacent wharf structures.
.2 The removal and replacement of the existing underground electrical and fuel
lines which fall within the demolition and removal limits.
.3 The removal and temporary mooring and or storage of the existing floating dock,gangway and fastening hardware 
.4 Construction of a new timber cribwork structure complete with a reinforced
concrete deck system, including connection to existing pilework structure.
.5 The supply and installation of treated timber bearing piles and close face
piling.
.6 The reinstatement of the existing floating dock, gangway and all hardware.

The Contractor must perform and complete the Work by January 31st, 2018 from the date of notification of acceptance of the offer. The completion date is January 31st, 2018.

Site Visit: There will not be a site visit as this site is assessable 
to the Public. 

Pricing: Combined Pricing: Unit pricing and lump sum.

Inquiries are to be made in writing and should be received no less than 


five (5) calendar days prior tothe closing date to allow sufficient 
time to respond. 

The estimated cost of this procurement is $250,000 - $500,001
