    The work under this contract consists of the structural
    investigation of stone masonry units of the Customs Building
    located at 189 Prince William Street, Saint John, New Brunswick.
     This will entail partial removal and salvage of preselected
    stone masonry units.  Upon completion of the underlying stone
    masonry unit anchoring system, the stone masonry units are to be
    reinstalled complete with re-instatement of any removed
    foamed-in-place insulation. All work is to be performed in
    accordance with the Plans and Specifications No. R.052150.001
    forming part of the bid document.  
    
    IMPORTANT NOTICE:  New measures related to Code of Conduct and
    certifications included in the solicitation documents requires
    attention
    
    A public bid opening will be held at the Bid Receiving Unit,
    Room 421, 189 Prince William Street, Saint John, N.B.
    
    Work to be completed within eleven (11) weeks after contract
    award.
    
    The estimated cost for this opportunity is within the following
    category: $100,001 - $250,000 (HST extra).

      Inquiries are to be made in writing and should be received no
    less than five (5) calendar days prior to the closing date to
    allow sufficient time to respond.
    
    Standard bid and contract security for construction is required.
    
    Pursuant to GC6 - Delays and Changes in Work of the General
    Conditions, the resulting construction contract will include the
    provisions for changes in the work at the request of the
    Departmental Representative.  
    
    Drawings and Specifications are now available for viewing and
    downloading in a Portable Document Format (PDF) or in a standard
    paper version. Bidders should note that Attachment 1 (ATT 1)
    contains the Drawings and Specifications Package (DSP) which
    consists of PDF files organized in an industry recognized
    directory structure.
    
    
    
    Firms intending to submit tenders on this project should obtain

    when issued, will be available from the MERX provider.  Firms
    that elect to base their bids on tender documents obtained from
    other sources do so at their own risk and will be solely
    responsible to inform the tender calling authority of their
