Public Works and Government Services Canada has requirement for the demolition and removal of the existing saltwater pool structure, piping and service tunnel as well as the construction of a new saltwater Pool and associated upgrades at Fundy National Park.  The work includes demolition, site grading, pool construction, electrical and mechanical upgrades, pipe installation, connection to existing piping, concrete deck installation and earthworks.  All work is to be performed in accordance with the plans and specifications for PWGSC Project Number R.053749.001 forming part of the bid document. The Contractor shall perform and complete the Work within thirty-four (34) weeks after award.

OPTIONAL SITE VISIT:
It is recommended that the Bidder or a representative of the Bidder visit the work site and examine the Scope of the Work requiredand the existing conditions.  There will be an optional site visit on September 09, 2016 at 10:00 am.  All interested bidders are to meet at the existing Salt Water Pool Fundy National Park, Alma, N.B.  Although not mandatory, all contractors wishing tosubmit a tender for this work are encouraged to attend to become familiar with all aspects of the work. Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation.

New measures related to Integrity provisions included in the solicitation documents requires attention.

The estimated cost for this opportunity is within the following cost category: $1,500,001 to $2,000,000 (HST extra). Standard bid and contract security for the construction is required.

A public bid opening will be held at the Bid Receiving Unit, Room 405, 189 Prince William Street, Saint John, N.B.
