Electrical Improvements - McEachern's Point Wharf, New Brunswick

Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) has a
requirement for the wharf electrical reconstruction at the
public wharf located at McEachern's Point, Northumberland
county, N.B. In general, the work consists of, but is not
limited to, the following:

-Removal of existing electrical systems.
-Arrange and pay allowance for NB Power to provide new 800A,
120/240V, 1, 3W service entrance in new electrical building as
outlined on drawings.
-Complete construction of electrical building c/w electrical
services and all devices and equipment.
-Supply and install all underground trenching, wire and conduit.
-Supply and install service to poles, shrouds and receptacles
c/w associated equipment, wire and conduit.
-Extend existing conduits as required.
-Provide test and commissioning of all systems.

All work is to be performed in accordance with the plans and
specifications for PWGSC Project Number R.058110.001 forming
part of the bid document. The contract completion is sixteen
(16) weeks after contract award.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:  New measures related to Code of Conduct and
certifications included in the solicitation documents requires
attention.

A public bid opening will be held at the Bid Receiving Unit,
Room 421, 189 Prince William Street, Saint John, N.B.

The estimated cost for this opportunity is within the following
cost category:  $250,001 to $500,000. Standard bid and contract
security for construction is required.

Bidders in the solicitation document.

Drawings and Specifications are now available for viewing and
downloading in a Portable Document Format (PDF) or in a standard
paper version. Bidders should note that Attachment 1 (ATT 1)
contains the Drawings and Specifications Package (DSP) which
consists of PDF files organized in an industry recognized
directory structure.

Firms intending to submit tenders on this project should obtain
tender documents through the MERX services provider.  Addenda,
when issued, will be available from the MERX provider.  Firms
that elect to base their bids on tender documents obtained from
other sources do so at their own risk and will be solely
responsible to inform the tender calling authority of their
intention to bid.

incorporated by reference, and form part of the tender and
contract documents.  The standard documents are issued by Public
Works and Government Services and may be viewed on the MERX
electronic bulletin board as part of the information module.
