    Tarp Building Cover Replacement, Dorchester Penitentiary
    
    CORCAN Construction has the requirement for the furninshing of all necessary tools, plant, services, materials and labour to execute and complete the following work in a careful and workmanlike manner:
    
    1.  Supply all necessary equipment, freight, materials and labour to install new Fire Rated Tarp system c/w ends, new tie downs, straps, ratchets, andother required materials. System will be compatible with existing Cover-all frame structure.
    2.  Tarp System fabric to be Heavyweight of minimum 9.5 oz per square yard, UV Damage protected, Translucent White in colour, one piece construction, and winchtie-down system. An interlocking weather resistant seam for a two piece system is acceptable.
    3.  The work site is fully accessible by cranes or lifts.
    4.  The contractor will supply appropriate maintenance tools for periodic tourquing (if system required).
    5.  Building is approximately 22m x 61m with 1.2m Stem Wall and 5.7m from concrete slab to peak of truss, existing truss system is 2.4m c/c.
    6.  Tarp System to include tarp ends the same as existing.
    7.  Tarp System to include 10-Year Pro RatedWarranty.
    
    The contract completion date is March 31, 2016.
    
    OPTIONAL SITE VISIT
    There will be an optional site visit on November 17, 2015 at 
    10:00 am.  All interested bidders are to meet at the main 
    entrance of Building F-56 at the WestmorlandInstitution, 
    Dorchester, New Brunswick.  Although not mandatory, all 
    contractors wishing to submit a tender for this work are 
    encouraged to attend to become familiar with all aspects of 
    the work.  Any clarificaitons or changes to the bid solicitationresulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment 
    to the bid solicitation.
    
    NOTE:  If you plan to attend the site visit, please confirm your attendance to Sandra Lomax by email at sandra.lomax@pwgsc.gc.ca or by phone at (506) 636-4362 bynot later than 2:00 pm November 13, 2015.
    
    A public bid opening will be held at the Bid Receiving Unit, 405, 189 Prince William Street,Saint John, N.B.
    
    The estimated cost for this opportunity is within the following cost category:  $50,001 to $100,000 (HST extra).  Standard bid and contract security for thi construction is required.
