Telephone No. - (506) 636-5347 Fax No. - (506) 636-4376 Province House Preparation Work and Site Setup - Phase 1 Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island Public Works and Government Services Canada has a requirement for preparation work and site set-up - Phase 1 in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. The work includes, but is not limited to, the following: The hazmat abatement and selective removal of interior finishes, wood windows and doors, and mechanical and electrical systems asidentified on the drawings and the structural stabilization of the north and south porticos and bulged area on the south façade, the rebuilding of the porticos foundations, and the implementation of the shoring and scaffolding systems in preparation for the Phase 2 work. All work is to be performed in accordance with the plans and specifications for Project Number: R.073771.009 forming part of the bid document. OPTIONAL SITE VISIT There will be an optional site visit on Wednesday, February 1st, 2017at 1:00 PM. Interested bidders are to meet at the main entrance of 165 Richmond St., Charlottetown, P.E.I. Interested proponents must provide name(s) of those attending in writing to the Contracting Authority named below no later than Tuesday, January 31st, 2017 at 4:00 pm. Although not mandatory, all contractors wishing to submit a tender for this work are encouraged to attend to become familiar with all aspects of the work. Bidders may be requested to sign an attendanceform. Bidders who do not attend or send a representative will not be given an alternative appointment but they will not be precluded from submitting a bid. Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment to thebid solicitation. The estimate for this opportunity is within the following cost category: $5,000,000.00 > (HST extra). Bids are submitted following a two-envelope procedure in which Bidders submit the technical componentof their bid in oneenvelope and the proposed price in a second envelope. The Contractor shall perform and complete the work within forty (40) weeks from the date of notification of acceptance of the offer. New measures related to integrity provisions included in the solicitation documents requires attention. Inquiries: All inquiries of atechnical nature and all questions of a contractual nature are to be submitted in writing to the Contractual Authority: Janine Donovan, telephone- (506) 636-5347, facsimile - (506) 636-4376, e-mail -janine.donovan@pwgsc.gc.ca. Inquiries are to be made in writing and should be received no less than seven (7) calendar days prior to the closing date to allow sufficient time to respond. Inquiries are to be madeinaccordance with SI03 - Enquiries during the Solicitation Period, under Special Instructions to Bidders in the solicitation document. Standard bid and contract security for construction is required. Firms intending to submit tenders on this project should obtain tenderdocuments through the Government Electronic Tendering System (GETS). Addenda, when issued, will be available on GETS. Standard terms and conditions for this procurement are incorporated by reference, and form part of the tenderand contract documents.
