    Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) has a requirement on behalf of Agriculture and Agri-food Canada (AAFC) for a retrofit and expansion at 204 Brookfield Road, St.  Johns, NL.
    
    The scope of the work for this project consists of the furnishing of all plant, labour, equipment and material to perform the work.
    
    Work under this Contract will consist of but will not necessarily be limited to the following:
    
    1. Work of this Contract comprises renovation and extension of buildings 25, and demolition of buildings 38 and 39, located at 204 Brookfield Road, St. John’s, NL; and further identified as St. John’s Research and Development Centre, Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada. 
      
    2. The first phase of the work will consist in the abatement of the existing buildings 38 and 39 located on the North end of building 25 and connected with each other and building 25 via two links. The second phase will comprise the extensive demolition and abatement of building 25 interiors, which will expose the building existing structure, and its envelope. Part of this phase will include hazardous materials abatement and disposal. The third and final phase will encompass the renovation and retrofit of building 25, an expansion on two floors to the Northwest of the site, and the construction of a new header house with connected greenhouse on the West extending to the South, close to the existing dam. A new parking lot on the North side of the site, the upgrade of the North road, and landscaping will complement the renovation.
