H Frame Structure Construction, Green Island (TB) & Catalina, NL

Public Works and Government Services Canada has a requirement on behalf of the Department of Fisheries and Oceans for the construction of two H Frame structures at Green Island (Trinity Bay) and Catalina, NL.  The work of this project will consist of, but is not limited to the construction of two (2) wooden H Frame electrical transmission structures with associated conductors, hardware and airport avoidance equipment.   

Special Instructions:
Before submitting a bid, it is recommended that all bidders participate in a site visit to verify the form, nature and extent of the work, materials needed and the means of access to the site.   There will be one site visit only due to remoteness of location, it will take place on Tuesday 4 April 2017 at 10:00 AM.  Transportation to Green Island will be via helicopter, please contact Cheryl O’Brien, (709) 772-3460 with name and phone number of participant for contact in case of weather delays.  All participants are asked to meet in the old gravel pit, atthe end of Seaview Drive, Catalina (48 30 59 N, 53 03 29 W) for 10:00 AM departure.  Bidders should refer to the Health and Safety section of specifications before performing any site inspection or preliminary work on site.

Bidders must refer to General Instructions G2710T (2016-04-04) for the Integrity Provisions (Code of Conduct and Certification) applicable to this requirement.
