    Public Works and Government Services Canada has a requirement on behalf of the Department of Fisheries and Oceans for restoration of the Light Tower in Cape Bauld, NL.  The Cape Bauld Light Tower is located on the northern tip of Quirpon Island at the northern entrance to the Strait of Belle Isle and is only accessible by boat or helicopter. The Cape Bauld Light Tower is a “Recognized” Federal Heritage Building and therefore requires that the Standards and Guidelines for the Conservation of Historic Places in Canada are to be abided by in this contract.
    
    This work will consist of but is not limited to the removal and disposal of exterior and interior paint, exterior and interior painting, concrete repairs, glass replacement and replacement of interior stairs. DFO will provide helicopter services for mobilization and demobilization slinging to a maximum of 25 hours, from the work site and to a designated location outside the Town of St. Anthony.

    Before submitting a bid, it is recommended the bidders visit the site and verify the form, nature and extent of the work, materials needed and the means of access to the site.  Contractors, bidders or those they invite to site should refer to Section 01 10 10, Item 1.5 Familiarization with Site of specifications before performing any site inspection or preliminary work on site.
    
    Bidders must refer to General Instructions G2710T (2016-04-04) for the Integrity Provisions (Code of Conduct and Certification) applicable to this requirement.
