Breakwater Construction, Mary’s Harbour, NL

Public Works & Government Services Canada on behalf of The Department of Fisheries & Oceans have a requirement that consists of the furnishing of all plant, labour, equipment and material for breakwater construction at Mary’s Harbour, NL, in strict accordance with specifications and accompanying drawings and subject to all terms and conditions of the Contract. 

In general, the work under this contract consists of, but will not necessarily be limited to, the following:
- Supply and installation of new rock fill core (0.1-200kg).
- Supply and installation of new filter stone (200-600kg).
- Supply and installation of new armour stone (1-2 tonne).
- Supply and installation of new armour stone (2-4 tonne)

Before submitting a bid, it is recommended the bidders visit the site and verify the form, nature and extent of the work, materials needed and the means of access to the site.  Contractors, bidders or those they invite to site should refer to Section 01 10 10, Item 1.5 Familiarization with Site of specifications before performing any site inspection or preliminary work on site.

Bidders must refer to General Instructions G2710T (2017-09-21) for the Integrity Provisions (Code of Conduct and Certification) applicable to this requirement.
