Public Works and Government Services Canada has a requirement for the secondary electrical panel replacement at the Northwest Atlantic Fisheries Centre (NAFC), East White Hills Road, St. John's, NL.

The scope of work for this project consists of the furnishing of all plant, labour, equipment and material for the secondary electrical panel replacement.

In general, the work under this contract will consist of, but will not necessarily be limited to, the following:

Electrical Life Cycle replacements of select electrical equipment including electrical panels and associated electrical feeders.

Replacement of select electrical feeders and miscellaneous distribution equipment related to the above.


Bidders must refer to R2710T GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS - CONSTRUCTION SERVICES - BID SECURITY REQUIREMENTS (GI) (2018-06-21) for the Integrity Provisions applicable to this requirement.

OPTIONAL SITE VISIT

It is recommended that the Bidder or a representative of the Bidder visit the work site. Arrangements have been made for a tour of the work site. The site visit will be held on Monday, January 6, 2020 at 10:00 am. sharp and ending at 11:30 am and will depart from the NAFC Main Entrance, East White Hills Road, St. John's, NL. Bidders will be requested to sign an attendance form, so please arrive no later than 9:45 am for sign in. Note: All bidders/attendees will require a photo identification to be granted access.

Bidders who do not attend or send a representative will not be given an alternative appointment but they will not be precluded from submitting a bid. Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation.

FAMILIARIZATION WITH SITE

Before submitting a bid, it is recommended that bidders visit the site and its surroundings to review and verify the form, nature and extent of the work, materials necessary for the completion of the works, the means of access to the site, severity, exposure and uncertainty of weather, soil conditions, any accommodations they may require, and in general shall obtain all necessary information as to risks, contingencies and other circumstances which may influence or affect their bid. No allowance shall be made subsequently in this connection on account of error or negligence to properly observe and determine the conditions that will apply. 

Contractors, bidders or those they invite to site are to review specification Section 01 35 29 -Health and Safety Requirements before visiting site. Take all appropriate safety measures for any visit to site, either before or after acceptance of bid.
