Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) on behalf of Correctional Services Canada (CSC), is seeking tenders regarding upgrades to the domestic hot water system at CSC’s 96 Bed Living Unit located within Edmonton Institution, Edmonton, AB  

This project will be delivered via a design-bid-build approach.

Edmonton Institution (a.k.a. EI, a.k.a. Edmonton Maximum Security Institution, a.k.a. EMSI) is a federal maximum security facility for men, located near the northeast boundary of Edmonton, AB and is approximately 18km from Edmonton’s city centre.

The work for this project will include but is not limited to the following: consolidation of master mixing valves, new piping and valving, new water hammer arrestors, new expansion tank, new recirculating pump, etc.

There will be an Optional Site Visit May 9 at 1:00PM MDT. Interested bidders are to meet at Edmonton Institution located at 21611 Meridian Street, Edmonton, AB - T5Y 6E7

Offerors are requested to communicate with the Contracting Authority three (3) days before the scheduled visit to confirm attendance and provide the name(s) of the person(s) who will attend. 

The requirement is subject to the provisions of the Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA).

Value of Project:  To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, this project is estimated between   $250,001 >  $ 500,000

Drawings and Specifications are now available for viewing and downloading in a Portable Document Format (PDF). Tenderers should note that attachment 1 (ATT 1) contains the Drawings and Specifications Package (DSP) which consists of PDF files organized in an industry recognized directory structure.

Public tender openings will be suspended until further notice. Following solicitation closing, bid results will be recorded and may be obtained by e-mailing a request to the address indicated in the Invitation to
