Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC), on behalf
of Correctional Service Canada (CSC), Edmonton Institution for
Women,  has a requirement for the provision of all materials,
equipment, labour and supervision for general construction of
the Principle Entrance Building and Industries Building at the
Edmonton Institution for Women, 11151 - 178 Street Edmonton,
Alberta.  Work includes all the civil, architectural,
structural, mechanical, electrical, security, communication,
landscaping and site services required.  The Work will be
required to be performed in stages to accommodate the continued
use of the existing institution, and to accommodate activities
of other contractors on the Institution property as well as
providing continuous public access to the Institution.

The buildings are two story stand alone buildings, the
Industries Building is approximately 808 square meters in
building area and the Principle Entrance Building is
approximately 932 square meters in building area.  

NOTICE - OPTIONAL SITE VISIT 
It is recommended that the Bidder or a representative of the
Bidder visit the work site.  Arrangements have been made for a
tour of the work site.

There will be a site visit.  The date and time will be
determined.

Bidders may be requested to sign an attendance form.  Bidders
who do not attend or send a representative will not be given an
alternative appointment but they will not be precluded from
submitting a bid.  Any clarifications or changes to the bid
solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as
an amendment to the bid solicitation.  Persons with Criminal
Records may be denied access to the site.
