Spray River Bridge Replacement, Banff, AB

Work for this Contract comprises of the Construction of a new
bridge to replace the existing bridge over the Spray River at
the end of Bow River Avenue.  The structure will be single span,
32 metres long x 12.3 metres wide, piled abutments, concrete box
girders, concrete deck with sidewalks, traffic barriers and
pedestrian railing.  The existing bridge is to be moved
laterally upstream onto temporary foundations to maintain
traffic to Banff water treatment plant and golf course while new
bridge is constructed on original alignment.  Approach roadways
to be rebuilt to match new widened and raised bridge.  Once new
roadway open to vehicle and pedestrian traffic the original
bridge, temporary foundations, temporary approach fills and Lock
Blocks are to be removed from site and disturbed are reinstated
to original condition, existing barriers, remove existing
asphalt; construct embankments, bridge end fills, drainage, rip
rap, pre-cast concrete wall blocks, road aggregates, paving
concrete barriers, fencing, topsoil and seeding.

Contract Completion:  72 weeks from date of Contract Award

Optional Site Visit:  
There will be an optional site visit on January 13, 2015 at
10:00 A.M. Interested bidders are to meet in Banff at the Spray
River Bridge site for 10:00 am.

Drawing and Specifications are now available for viewing and
downloading in a Portable Document Format (PDF). Tenderers
should note that Attachment 1 (ATT1) contains the Drawing and
Specifications Package (DSP) which consists of PDF files
organized in an industry recognized directory structure.
