    Work Description:
    
    The Work under this contract covers the following:
    
    1.  Work under this Contract shall include all labour, materials and equipment necessary for the replacement of existing cladding systems on seven buildings to the Mission Medium Institution, Mission, BC, including window replacement to the Healthcare/Segregation building, replacement of an existing canopy with a new canopy, removal and replacement of existing electrical, security and mechanical services, and remedial work as more fully described in the drawings as listed in Sheet A-001 (Cover Sheet and Drawing List) and these specifications.
     
    Work will be performed in accordance with the contract and as shown on the drawings.  
    
    
    Mandatory Site Visit:
    
    A secondary site visit is scheduled for Thursday, August 11, 2016 @ 10:00 am local time.  Interested bidders are to meet at the PWGSC Site Office Mission Institution, 8751 Stave Lake Street, Mission, BC
    
    The site visit for this project is MANDATORY.  The representative of the bidder will be required to sign the Site Visit Attendance Sheet at the site visit. Bids submitted by Bidders who have not signed an attendance sheet for either the August 4 or August 11 site visit will be rejected.
    
    Bidders that attended the first site visit are not required to attend the secondary site visit.
    
    Interested bidders are requested to provide their name(s) and company name(s) to the Contracting Authority, Carolyn Arthur at carolyn.arthur@pwgsc.gc.ca or (604)364-2752 by 2:30 pm PST on Wednesday August 10, 2016, to pre-register forthe site visit.
    
    All contractors must wear a high visibility vest, which meets WCB standards, for all site visits including a tender site visit. No cameras, cell phones (of any type) or lap top computers are allowed into institutions at any time.  Allcontractors attending the site visit must be able to provide a piece of Government issued photo identification at the reception in order to gain visitor access into institutions.
    
    Delivery Date:
    
    The work shall commence immediately upon official notification of acceptance of tender by the Contracting Authority and is to be completed within 72 weeks from Contract Award.
    
    Value of Project:
    
    To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, this project is estimated to cost between $4,500,000.00 and $5,000,000.00
