    Requirement: 
    To provide Long Term Elevating Device maintenance service for
    two (2) electric operated elevators located at the Government of
    Canada Building, 101 - 22nd Street, Saskatoon, SK.The Contractor
    shall provide all necessary tools, equipment, materials,
    labours, inspection, testing, software updates and/or upgrades. 
    
    Mandatory Site Visit 
    It is mandatory that the Bidder or a representative of the
    Bidder visit the work site. Arrangements have been made for site
    visit to be held on May 6, 2014 at 1:00 pm in the main entrance
    foyer of 101 22nd St. E. Saskatoon. Bidders should communicate
    with the Contracting Authority no later than three (3) days
    before the scheduled visit to confirm attendance and provide the
    names of the person(s) who will attend.
    
    The period of any resulting contract will be for a period of ten
    (10) years with Canada retaining an irrevocable option to extend
    the contract for three (3) additional five (5) year periods
    under the same conditions.
    
    The requirement is subject to the provisions of the World Trade
    Organization Agreement on Government Procurement (WTO-AGP), the
    North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), and the Agreement
    on Internal Trade (AIT).
    
    NOTE: 
    Only bids from contractors whose name is on the List of
    Pre-Qualified Elevator Maintenance
    Contractors for electric operated elevators for the province of
    Saskatchewan will be considered for this solicitation."
    
    A Contractor whose name is not on the List of Pre-qualified
    Elevating Devices Maintenance Contractors may apply for
    pre-qualification. Public Works and Government Services Canada
    (PWGSC) will publish a Letter of Interest (LOI) on the
    Government Electronic Tendering Service once a year to invite
    contractors to pre-qualify against one or more categories of
    equipment in the specified geographic areas. It takes
    approximately three months from the time the LOI is published to
    complete the pre-qualification process.
    Contractors who are successful will be added to the List of Pre
    Qualified Elevating Devices Maintenance Contractors and will be
    eligible to bid on future solicitations for Elevating Devices
    Maintenance Contracts. All enquiries concerning the pre
    qualification process must be sent by fax to (819) 956-3160 and
    addressed to PWGSC, Regional Operations Support and Commodity
    Management Division, Real Property Contracting Directorate.
