    Rehabilitation of the right and left sides of the Saint-Louis Bastion
    
    PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
    
    The work to be done as indicated in the current contract consists primarily, but is not limited to: the repair of the left and right sides of the Saint-Louis Bastion. This project is part of the Quebec fortifications masonry reparation program. The Saint-Louis Bastion is located at the cross of Grande Allée est and George VI avenue in Quebec City, Quebec.  
    
    DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
    
    These restoration and conservation works pertaining to heritage elements include, but is not limited to, the dismantling and rebuilding of the rear retaining wall, the excavation and the complete reconstruction of the headwalls, the repair of certain damaged, but recoverable, exposed stones, the provision of new green sandstone, the rebuilding of the masonry core up to a certain depth, various interventions on the existing buttresses, temporary shoring of the walls, repointing certain wall sections, the installationof a drainage system, as well as all other related works pertaining to the rehabilitation of the left and right sides of the Saint-Louis Bastion. 
    
    INFORMATION SESSION FOR BIDDERS:
    
    A bidders' conference will be held at 3 Passage-du-Chien-d’Or, 1st Floor, Quebec City on Thursday March 23, 2017. The conference will begin at 10:30 AM EDT (until 12:00 PM EDT), in Salle Louis S-St-Laurent (room 104-02). The scope of the requirement outlined in the bid solicitation will be reviewed during the conferenceand questions will be answered. It is recommended that bidders who intend to submit a bid attend or send a representative.
    
    Bidders are requested to communicate with the Contracting Authority before the conference to confirm attendance. Bidders shouldprovide to the Contracting Authority, by email at Isabelle.Girard@tpsgc-pwgsc.gc.ca, the name(s) of the person(s) who will be attending and a list of issues they wish to table no later than March 22, 2017 at 2:00 PM EDT. Please note that all visitors must bring a valid photo ID.
    
    Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the bidders' conference will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation. Bidders who do not attend will not be precluded from submitting a bid.
    
    MANDATORY CRITERIA AT CLOSING DATE:
    
    The Bidder shall enclose bid security with its bid.
    
    PERIOD OF WORK
    
    The Contractor shall perform and complete the Work within the following timeframe:
    - From May to November 2017 : 31 weeks
    - From April to June2018: 11 weeks
