BID SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS Due to the impacts from the COVID-19 pandemic, temporary measures are being taken on-site at the Québec Region Bid Receiving Unit to encourage social distancing. The health and safety of staff and suppliers remains our top priority. Submissions can be sent either on paper or, by epost Connect service. DESCRIPTION The work under this contract consists mainly, but not exclusively, of the rehabilitation of the left and right sides of the Ursulines Bastion, located in the historic part of the City of Quebec. This project is part of the masonry restoration program of Québec City’s fortifications. This masonry heritage rehabilitation and conservation work includes, but is not limited to, dismantling and reassembling the green sandstone facing walls, deconstructing and reassembling the deconsolidated masonry core, and installing and removing a Berlin wall required for the work, excavating and backfilling of masonry structures including the management of contaminated materials, the installation of a drainage system, the restoration of elements affected by the work as well as any other related work required to repair the left and right sides of the Ursulines Bastion. OPTIONAL SITE VISIT There will be an optional site visit on April 21, 2021, at 10 a.m. (Duration aproximatively one hour). Interested bidders will be required to notify the Contracting Authority of their intention to participate in the visit. The meeeting point for the visit will be at the parking of Calèche Québec which is located on d’Auteuil Street, behind the Ursulines Bastions between the Kent door anf the Parc de l’Esplanade, Québec (Que). Security measures related to Coronavirus (Covid-19): Visitors must wear a mask throughout the visit. Visitors will also be asked to maintain physical distance at all times. Bidders are requested to communicate with the Contracting Authority at least two (2) days before the scheduled visit date to confirm attendance and provide the names of the persons who will attend. A maximum of two (2) representatives is recommended per bidder. Bidders who have not confirmed their attendance may be refused access. Bidders will have to sign an attendance sheet and will have to present a photo identification card. No other meeting will be granted to tenderers who do not participate in the visit or who do not send a representative. Bidders who do not participate in the visit may still submit a bid. Any clarification or change made to the bid solicitation following the site visit will be included in the bid solicitation, in the form of an amendment. MANDATORY CRITERION AT CLOSING DATE The Bidder shall enclose bid security with its bid. SECURITY REQUIREMENTS There is no security requirement applicable to this Agreement.
