IMPORTANT: This tender is part of Public Works and Government Services Canada’s initiative to submit bid submission files electronically using epost Connect. Interested bidders should refer to Part 2 of the solicitation document entitled Instructions to bidders/offerors/suppliers, as the case may be, for instructions on how to participate and submit their files electronically for this tender. DND Spare parts section has been tasked with warehousing new parts for the Tactical Armoured Patrol Vehicle (TAPV) project. This can range in size and weight. Currently the Spares Parts section is already at its maximum space allotted within the Technical Services Area and the footprint of the section cannot be expanded any further to accommodate the extra shelving /storage equipment required. To facilitate the existing spare parts currently on shelves as well as the incoming TAPV parts. There are industrial grade Vertical Towers that is available and would replace the existing shelving and also be used to properly inventory items in a controlled location. The removal of the existing shelves will allow for the section to have a staging area for better in and out procedures, better accountability and a safer working environment. The requirement is from the date of Contract Award to March 29, 2019. The requirement is subject to the provisions of the World Trade Organization Agreement on Government Procurement (WTO-AGP), the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), the Canada-European Union Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA), and the Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA). Mandatory Site Visit It is mandatory that the Bidder or a representative of the Bidder visit the work site. Arrangements have been made for the site visit to be held at Department of National Defence - Denison Armoury at 1 Yukon Lane, Toronto, Ontario. Canada. M3K 0A1on January 10, 2019. The site visit will begin at 10:00 AM EST. Bidders are requested to communicate with the Contracting Authority no later than 6:00 PM EDT January 9, 2019 to confirm attendance and provide the name(s) of the person(s) who will attend. It is recommended that the Bidder send qualified Technician personnel to the site visit. Bidders who do not attend or do not send a representative will not be given an alternative appointment and will subsequently be precluded from submitting a bid. Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation. The bidder must have at least one attendee at the site visit and the onus is on the bidders to arrive at the site in a timely manner. Bidders arriving late may not be permitted to attend the site visit. It is required that the Bidder send qualified Technician personnel to the site visit.
