    Janitorial Services
    Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC) at 1391 Sandford Street,
    London, Ontario
    has the requirement for Janitorial Services.  The proposed
    contract is for the period from
    March 1, 2013 to February 28, 2015 with the option to extend for
    two (2) additional one (1) year period each.  The AAFC houses
    approximately 140 staff which expands to 170 in the summer
    months between May to September.  The AAFC comprises of main
    office/laboratory, greenhouse/header house, linked plant
    pathology laboratory and field house, totaling approximately
    6,984 square metres of flooring space.  
    This requirement is subject to Ontario Labour Legislation.
    There is security requirement for Canadian Supplier.  
    1.	Before award of a contract, the following conditions must be
    met:
    
    (a) 	the Bidder must hold a valid organization security
    clearance as indicated in Part 6 -
    	Resulting Contract Clauses;
    (b) 	the Bidder's proposed individuals requiring access to
    classified or protected information,
    	assets or sensitive work site(s) must meet the security
    requirement as indicated in Part 6
    	- Resulting Contract Clauses;
    (c) 	the Bidder must provide the name of all individuals who
    will require access to classified
    	or protected information, assets or sensitive work sites.
    
    2.	Bidders are reminded to obtain the required security
    clearance promptly. Any delay in the award of a contract to
    allow the successful bidder to obtain the required clearance
    will be at the entire discretion of the Contracting Authority.

    There is also an Optional Site Visit. It is recommended that the
    Bidder or a representative of the Bidder visit the work site.
    Arrangements have been made for a tour of the work site. The
    site visit will be held on 
    Tuesday, December 2012, at 10:00 AM 
    at 1391 Sandford Street, London, On N5V 4T3
    Bidders are requested to communicate with the Contracting
    Authority, two (2) days before the scheduled visit to confirm
    attendance and provide the name(s) of the person(s) who will
    attend. Bidders may be requested to sign an attendance form.
    Bidders who do not attend or send a representative will not be
    given an alternative appointment but they will not be precluded
    from submitting a bid. Any clarifications or changes to the bid
    solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as
    an amendment to the bid solicitation.

    The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any
    procurement.
