Development of Information Retrieval Software

Defence Research and Development Canada (DRDC), Toronto has a
requirement under the Human Terrain Visualization and Simulation
project to design, develop, and evaluate the  information
retrieval software for automatically eliciting socio-structural
beliefs of cultural groups of interest to the Canadian Forces
from open-source unstructured documents. The proposed period of
the contract for firm requirement is 1 year from date of
contract.  There is also an option to extend the contract for 1
year for a follow-on work  

The maximum funding for the firm requirement is $100,000.00 (GST
or HST extra) and for the optional work $50,000.00 (GST or HST
extra).

The intellectrual property arising from the contract will vest
with Canada.

The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any
procurement.
