    Natural Resources Canada (NRCan), CanmetMATERIALS Division,
    Hamilton, Ontario requires the supply fabrication, delivery,
    installation, commissioning and training of one (1)
    fully-functional 30 kN Electro-Mechanical Load Frame including a
    system computer, a system controller, a 12 months warranty and
    all necessary accessories.  The load Frame system will be used
    for testing light gauge materials at cryogenic (up to minimum of
    including - 100 oC) and elevated temperatures (up to a maximum
    of and including 350 oC).  NRCans CanmetMATERIALS requires
    delivery to NRCan in Hamilton, Ontario within ninety (90) days
    from the date of contract award.   
    
    The bidder must demonstrate that they meet every mandatory
    evaluation criteria in their bid by submitting supporting
    documentation.  Failure to provide supporting documentation by
    bid closing date will result in the bid being deemed
    non-responsive. 
    
    Few of the mandatory evaluation criteria are listed below. 
    Please refer to the RFP (ANNEX C) for the complete list of
    mandatory evaluation criteria.
    
    -	The equipment must be able to operate indoors, within a
    research facility, where the 			ambient humidity may vary from
    10% to 80% (non-condensing) and where the ambient 			temperature
    may vary from 10 C to 35 C.
    
    -	Electrical requirements must meet all of the following
    combination of voltages:
    	
    	-	60 Hz, 600 V - 3 phase;
    	-	60 Hz; 120 V - 3 phase; 
    	-	60 Hz; 208 V - 3 phase; 
    	-	60 Hz, 120 V - 1 phase; and
    	-	60 Hz; 208 V - 1 phase.
    
    -	Equipment tolerance must be 10% of the voltage.
    
    -	In all modes of operation the equipment must have a minimum
    power factor of 0.95.
    
    A bid must comply with the requirements of the bid solicitation
    and meet all mandatory technical
    evaluation criteria to be declared responsive.  The responsive
    bid with the lowest evaluated price will be
    recommended for award of a contract.

    Basis of Payment, in Canadian Funds
