Climbing Instructor and Training

The Department of National Defence (DND), Blackdown Cadet
Training Centre (BCTC), Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Borden, holds
an annual summer training camp in Blackdown Park, CFB Borden. 
This camp is host to approximately 3,300 Cadets and Support
Staff.  The ages of the Cadets range from 12 to 18 years.  The
summer training session is designed to augment the
Corps/Squadron Training Program that is conducted Canada wide. 
As part of the Summer Training Program, the Cadets will complete
Leadership and Challenge Training (to develop self confidence)
by being challenged to cross one, two and three strand High
Ropes Bridges and manoeuvre a traverse line.  Similarly, cadets
will be challenged to climb a vertical climbing wall and abseil
down a vertical wall (rappel tower).

The Contractor must provide one (1) instructor to provide a
Highline Traverse (Zipline) and Rope Bridge Course, training and
certification to seven (7) BCTC officers/staff cadets, provide
instruction on construction and dismantling of Rope Bridge,
Traverse and Climbing Wall training sites and provide safety
inspections on the one, two and three strand bridges and
traverse.

Work will be performed from 1 July 2013 - 17 August 2013.

The period of the Contract is from date of Contract to 30 June
2014.

This requirement also includes an optional period for an
additional one (1), one year period for the same services under
the same conditions as the original contract.
