Nature of Requirements: 
Meals Ready to Eat (MRE's)
The Contractor must provide Meals Ready to Eat (MRE's) for the
Department of National Defence (DND), to  various Regional Cadet
Support Units within Canada over a three year period.  The
various regions are Pacific, Prairie, Central, Eastern, Atlantic
and Northern.  

Part I -  Firm Requirement
The Firm Requirement is for the supply and delivery of 10,410
cases which is 125,920 complete MRE's for each of the following
dates.  The complete delivery to the various Regional Cadet
Support Units must be on or before 30 November 2013 and 30
November 2014.

Part II  - Optional Requirements  
The Optional Requirements are for the supply and delivery of
complete MRE's  for delivery on or before 31 March 2014 and  31
March 2015.  Quantities ordered are up to a maximum of 22,916
cases (275,000 MRE's) for each delivery.

 
The Optional Requirements are for the supply and delivery of
complete MRE's  for delivery on or before 30 November 2015; 31
March 2016; 30 November 2016; 31 March 2017; 30 November 2017
and 31 March 2018.  Quantities ordered are up to a maximum of
33,333 cases (400,000 MRE's) for each delivery.
