    This bid solicitation cancels and supersedes previous bid solicitation number F2402-180143/A dated 2018-10-16 with a closing of 2018-11-26 at 14:00. A debriefing or feedback session will be provided upon request to bidders/offerors/suppliers who bid on the previous solicitation.
    
    
    Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO), Freshwater Institute (FWI) wish to acquire one underwater remotely operated vehicle (ROV) for research on sea ice ecosystems. The ROV will be used to map and characterize complex under-ice environments, to collect oceanographic and biological data, and to conduct visual surveys of the benthic environment. 
    
    Fisheries and Oceans Canada FWI is purchasing an ROV that will be deployed to characterize sea ice habitats and to gain a better understanding of the ecosystem structure and function of the marine environment in the Last Ice Area. This purchase is required as part of a multidisciplinary research initiative to collect baseline data on complex sea ice ecosystems.  The system must be delivered to the following address on or before March 29th 2019:

    The Contractor must provide hands on and theoretical training. Training for 2 operators will be provided in English at the Vendor’s location. Training must be completed using a comparable ROV system with a similar control system. Training must be provided on or before August 30th 2019. Vendor is not responsible for costs (travel, meals or accommodations) associated with FWI staff attending training at vendor’s location.
