No further extension will be approved. Bidders are also notified that no further questions will be entertained beyond May 23, 2020. Canada requests that any outstanding questions be submitted by 5PM EDT on May 23, 2020 to allow time to respond and post final responses. Due to the uncertainty of outcomes related to COVID-19, this date will be reviewed as more information becomes available. Background: The Department of Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) on behalf of the Department of National Defence (DND) is soliciting bids for Data Remediation and Marking of Serially Managed Material (DRM-SM). The Department of National Defence (DND) is initiating a program to implement Unique Identification (UID) to all serially managed materiel across the Department to improve accountability and life cycle management of these items. This program is in support of the implementation of Automatic Identification Technology (AIT). As a result of this program, DND has an emerging requirement for Data Remediation Services and Item Marking Services for Serially Managed Items owned by DND and the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) that do not yet have a UID mark. A Task Authorization (TA) process will be included in the contract to manage the Work. The RFP includes, but is not limited to, the contract terms and conditions, bidder preparation instructions, evaluation procedures and submission tables, the statement of work, pricing tables, security, and insurance requirements. The RFP includes both mandatory and rated requirements as part of the evaluation. The winning bidder will be the bidder with the highest overall score based on 60% technical proposal and 40% financial proposal. Additional information of the evaluation of the bids can be found in the RFP. Tentative Contract Award Date: October 2020 Contract Period and Deployment: The proposed Contract Period will be from the date of Contract Award to five (5) years later, with irrevocable options to extend the Contract Period for up to 5 additional one-year option periods.
