Description
As part of the Federal Policing Program, the RCMP provides policing services to the federal government, several provinces and territories. These services are provided in several locations that are extremely remote and difficult to access. In the delivery of the Federal Policing Program, support services are required in order to increase the capacity of the present resources, achieve effective service delivery and enable the RCMP to focus on its primary mandate. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) requires the services of Detention Guards (formerly referred to as Guards and Matrons) on an as and when required basis to assist with duties as defined within this Statement of Work, which are related to the safety and well-being of persons incarcerated in (4) RCMP detachment cells located in the Nunatsiavut territory of Newfoundland and Labrador and are Comprehensive Land Claim areas (CLCAs). These locations include Hopedale, Nain, Rigolet and Makkovik.
