Description
The work of this contract will encompass the upgrade of the pumphouse and salter intakes at the Fisheries and Oceans Canada – Pacific Science Enterprise Centre (PSEC) facility. Work under this Contract comprises general construction of: Three (3) new saltwater intakes, including but not limited to:
  • Supply and installation of the HDPE pipe, weights, fittings, intake structures, vault, and appurtenances
  • Excavation for intake trenches along the foreshore, including dewatering and shoring as required, and subtidal burial as specified
  • Any removals or abandon-in-place of existing intakes in the footprint of the new intakes
  • Restoration of existing surrounding components, such as, vegetation, and shoreline landscape.
  • Commissioning of intakes, including testing and flushing as applicable
