This procurement is subject to the Directive on Government Contracts, Including Real Property Leases, in the Nunavut Settlement Area. This solicitation is limited for bidding among firms registered on the Inuit Firm Registry (IFR). Public Services & Procurement Canada (PSPC) is delivering a project for the Department of Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) for the construction of a small craft harbour in Arctic Bay, Nunavut. This harbour provides vital access to economic and cultural pursuits, marine transportation, and delivery of critical materials that support the infrastructure of local communities. The new harbour will include the construction of breakwaters, a fixed wharf for larger vessels, basin and entrance channel dredging, launch ramp, and float wharves for small craft vessels. The harbour will accommodate 64 small craft vessels initially, with allowance for expansion of up to another estimated 80 boats within the harbour area.
Contract duration
The estimated contract period will be 60 month(s), with a proposed start date of 2025/08/15.
