TITLE: Request for Proposal (RFP) - RADARSAT + Next Generation Ground Segment Concept Study.
DESCRIPTION: Canada is soliciting offers to provide services for the development of concept studies related to the ground segment of its next generation synthetic aperture radar satellite system. This work is part of the RADARSAT+ portfolio, which aims to ensure continued access to essential Earth observation data.
The objective is to gather propositions for a modern ground segment concept, capable of supporting Canada’s next-generation satellite system and its technical requirements, along with a development and implementation plan. The work also includes identifying key technologies to be integrated into the ground segment, assessing their maturity, related risks, and strategies to mitigate them, to ensure the mission’s success.
.
This RFP is open to suppliers from all sectors. Canada strongly encourages participation from organizations that may not traditionally consider themselves part of the space industry. Previous involvement with space programs is not mandatory since innovative cross sector solutions are essential to Canada’s leadership in space. Whether your expertise lies in satellite operational systems, UAV control networks, air traffic management systems, nuclear plant control systems, smart grid control centres, or other similar domains, your contribution could play a transformative role. ***
