Global Warming Prevention Technologies Inc. (GWPT) détails
Industrial and architectural design, clean-tech development
Global Warming Prevention Technologies Inc. (GWPT), an Ontario corporation established in 2003 by its cofounder and president, Steve Poulos owns patented waste and biomass conversion technologies and has direct access to other waste plastic and material conversion technologies at various scales to fulfil multiple plant opportunities that meet or exceed Canadian and European environmental standards. GWPT is now in the final stages of commercializing their unique containerized biomass gasification plant, the BEAR 1500-50, utilizing waste wood and various biomass residues as feedstock for multiple situations in Canada. Early demonstrations of the BEAR have been made at the Institute for Chemicals and Fuels from Alternative Resources (ICFAR) at the University of Western Ontario. A feedstock shelter as well as a pre-drying storage hopper and delivery system has been integrally constructed and made available for waste biomass and wood chip material to be processed and converted to heat and power. GWPT is a partner in the NSERC Industrial Chair Program at ICFAR under Professor Franco Berruti. The BEAR 1500-50 is a compact biomass-to-energy converter, utilizing wet or dry wood waste chips in a cogeneration process. The system processes 1.5 tonnes of lignocellulosic feedstock per day to generate 50 kW of electricity and 85 kW net of heat-energy on a continuous basis. Over 1200 hours of proven operation have already been logged.
