RFQ 23-0037 VMWare Enterprise Products and Services

1. This RFQ is open to all interested vendors. 2. Description of Procurement The City of Calgary (The City) including Calgary Police Services (CPS) requires an authorized reseller of VMware Enterprise in order to provide ongoing products services and support. The City and CPS will make purchases on needed basis that may include but is not limited to: • to replace, expand or enhance existing VMware Enterprise s products and services, • increase licenses, software versioning, tools or features of products; and • to purchase support and training services provided by VMware Enterprise 3. This procurement process is not intended to create, and, will not create, a formal, legally binding bidding process. It will instead be governed by the law applicable to direct commercial negotiations. 4. Agreement Term The Agreement for Phase One will be for an initial term of three (3) years. Phase One of the Agreement will also include a Proof of Concept (PoC) phase of approximately sixty (60) days. The PoC will consist of testing in a controlled live environment for both internal and external users and for the entire system processes from creation to audit and reporting. See Appendix F for more information about the PoC. The agreement may be renewed to facilitate ongoing maintenance and support outlined in Phase Two for a period of three (3) years. This term may be renewed for two (2) additional three (3) year term, not to exceed a maximum of twelve years (12) for both Phase 1 and 2.
