Vancouver General Hospital (VGH) Jim Pattison North - Helipad Upgrade

Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) intends to extend the contract with DYS Architecture for their services as the Prime Consultant for VGH Jim Pattison North – Helipad Upgrade, Project Number E034-00.
The value of this contract extension will be $145,000.00 - plus tax for Architectural, Structural, Mechanical and Electrical Consulting Services related to Tender and Contract/Construction Administration. VCH has chosen not to complete a Request for Proposal (RFP) process for the following reasons:
Consultants may challenge this decision by sending an email to Elizabeth Zhu by 15:00 Hours Pacific Time on October 19, 2023.
Provide proof showing your experience related to the requirements defined in this Notice of Intent. Only challenges from qualified Consulting firms will be reviewed.

Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) intends to extend the contract with DYS Architecture for their services as the Prime Consultant for VGH Jim Pattison North – Helipad Upgrade, Project Number E034-00.
The value of this contract extension will be $145,000.00 - plus tax for Architectural, Structural, Mechanical and Electrical Consulting Services related to Tender and Contract/Construction Administration. VCH has chosen not to complete a Request for Proposal (RFP) process for the following reasons:
- DYS Architecture has been providing consultancy services for this project since December 2021.
- DYS Architecture has established working relationships with the VGH project team, Facility Maintenance and Operations team and broad stakeholders.
- DYS Architecture has knowledge of VGH Hospital site and existing infrastructure.
- DYS Architecture has already completed the schematic design and engaged the aviation consultant.
- DYS Architecture has already completed the IFT design for the OR Phase 2 project work and complete all the required reviews with stakeholders including project team and Facility Maintenance and Operation personnel. This project’s design and timeline integrates with the rooftop project work enabling DYS Architecture to effectively and efficiently continue with administrating both project contracts during construction phase.
- DYS Architecture is registered and complies with requirements of prequalification for VCH in an ongoing process, which will help the flow of the project during the remaining phase.
