Description
Notice is hereby given by the Vancouver Economic Commission (“VEC”) of its intent to contract with Licker Geospatial Consulting Ltd. (“LGeo”) and The Delphi Group (“Delphi”) for Estimating Vancouver Business’ Greenhouse Gasses and Comparing Global Green Performance.
The project will undertake research on green economy metrics for Vancouver and conduct a comparative analysis against other major global centres of sustainable business. The objectives of this research are two-fold and will be conducted in two parts:
1) Analysis and assessment of Vancouver’s competitiveness on a variety of to-be-determined green economy metrics, compared against other relevant cities around the world. This includes prioritisation of the most important metrics for sustainability-minded investors and values-based/“climate-aware" organizations that could potentially locate to Vancouver.
2) A baselining of greenhouse gases (GHGs) from all businesses (i.e. SMEs and larger corporates) operating within the boundaries of the City of Vancouver, across relevant industries (e.g. within the North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS), and as determined by VEC and the consulting team.
LGeo and Delphi have been awarded this contract directly as their combined expertise and experience with similar projects is extremely well suited to the project. VEC has also worked directly with Delphi on a number of past projects, with their work being completed within timelines and to our high data standards.
The contract is valued at approximately $49,895 plus applicable taxes.
Anyone wishing to request more information and/or has any questions with regard to this NOITC may contact Courtney Crichton at the VEC at 604-780-7456 or by email to ccrichton@vancouvereconomic.com prior to the closing date and time listed below.
Closing date and time: November 10, 2022, 5:00 PM
