BC Timber Sales is interested in securing the services of a forestry consultant with sufficient staff and resources to carry-out the field and office work necessary to layout and develop 150,000 cubic metres of timber annually. The contractor will need to provide services associated with all phases of development simultaneously. For example, a combination of any or all the following services may be required simultaneously: digital mapping services, timber cruising, site plan preparation, cutblock and road layout and field assessment including professional assessments such as Wildlife, Fish, Terrain, and Hydrological. 
Unless an exception applies as described in Section 2.28 b), as a condition of Contract finalization the successful Proponent will be required to provide the Province with a Tax Verification Letter. Please see Section 2.28 for further details. As set out in Section 2.28, the Province will be unable to finalize a Contract with a Proponent that is unable to produce a Tax Verification Letter as a part of Contract finalization, if required.

Proposals must be submitted in accordance with the terms and conditions specified in the tender package.

The lowest priced or any proposal will not necessarily be accepted.

Be aware that BCTS has made changes to its EMS and SFM programs to meet the updated 2022 Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) Forest Management Standard. Changes impacting BCTS clients include new training requirements (Table 008-1, 008-1A, Tailgate Training, SFI Awareness documents, and new Indigenous rights awareness training, as well as changes to training frequency and a new continuing education component). In addition, note changes to EMS/SFM Environmental Field Procedures and Incident Reporting Procedures which occurred June 1, 2022. 

Supervisors and workers will need to be familiar with these changes prior to commencement of operations.
