Description
The Old Hospital College of New Caledonia at 3231 Hospital Road in Vanderhoof, BC is to be demolished. The building is a standalone building approximately 20m southeast of the active Vanderhoof’s St. John Hospital.
The building is a three-storey building including a full basement. Additional building characteristics can be found in the Asset Detail Report in Appendix A.
A Hazardous Materials Investigation of College of New Caledonia report, included in Appendix A, was completed in 2017 covered asbestos only and was not prepared for the purposes of demolition. Northern Health Authority (NHA) will directly engage a Hazardous Materials Company to perform an assessment of pre-demolition hazardous report for the building. This report will then be provided to the consultant.
NHA is seeking engineering services for permitting, design, and preparation of deliverables required to obtain approvals and tender the project for utility termination and demolition of the old Hospital.
