SU24TFG008 Silviculture Surveys - Arrow South

Regeneration surveys (single and layered), and free growing surveys (single and layered) within the Arrow South TSA, approximately 1400ha. See Appendix 1 – Survey Schedule for individual survey areas. All Free Growing Declarations are to be signed and sealed by a Registered Forest Professional.  Declarations will be completed on a Standard Unit basis. 
Populate LRM with survey results and successfully submit xml’s into RESULTS.
Questions & Answers
All contract related questions must be submitted in writing ONLY to the following email address: Forests.KootenayTimberSalesOffice@gov.bc.ca.  Deadline for receiving questions is 12:00 pm on March 1, 2023.  If questions are received, a Question & Answer document will be posted to BC Bid by  March 2, 2023.
 Tender submissions must be submitted in accordance with the terms and conditions specified in the tender package.

The lowest priced or any tender will not necessarily be accepted.

Be aware that BCTS has made changes to its EMS and SFM programs to meet the updated 2022 Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) Forest Management Standard. Changes impacting BCTS clients include new training requirements (Table 008-1, 008-1A, Tailgate Training, SFI Awareness documents, and new Indigenous rights awareness training, as well as changes to training frequency and a new continuing education component). In addition, note changes to EMS/SFM Environmental Field Procedures and Incident Reporting Procedures which occurred June 1, 2022. 

Supervisors and workers will need to be familiar with these changes prior to commencement of operations. As a condition of finalizing any service contracts with the Province, including service contracts arising from procurement processes, those contracts will require that all contractors and their personnel and any subcontractors and their personnel who will access BC government workplaces be fully vaccinated with COVID-19 vaccines approved for use in Canada, subject to any authorized exemptions. Such contracts will contain associated provisions required by and satisfactory to the Province regarding the foregoing, which may include provisions regarding mitigation measures for exempt personnel, compliance, enforcement, and the use of an attestation certifying compliance or presentation of a BC Vaccine Card by personnel.

Unverified bid results will be posted to BC Bid after tender opening and once awarded the contract award results will be available on BC Bid.
