Description:
The RFP is an invitation to submit offers for The Supply and Install of a High-parameter Spectral Flow Cytometer Cell Analyzer, as further described herein.
A high-parameter spectral flow cytometer will be installed at the London Regional Flow Cytometry (Core) Facility at Western University.  This cytometer will be used to assist with the identification and characterization of potential therapeutic antibodies and novel biomarkers in Biotherapeutics research in the areas of Alzheimer’s disease and dementia, cancer and immune evasion, and infectious disease and sepsis.  This cytometer will be used for comprehensive immune monitoring, to assess responses to new biotherapeutic agents in animal models, and human subjects in subsequent clinical trials. Potential applications will include: comprehensive immune cell immunophenotyping, quantification of low concentration biomarkers in blood using fluorescently labelled antibody-coated paramagnetic beads, and the quantification of fluorescence intensity of antibody-labelled plasma exosomes (membrane-bound extracellular vesicles from 30 to 150 nm in size).
