Rehabilitation of Two Bridges on King Road and Keele Street and Improvements at the King Road and Keele Street Intersection in the Township of King

The Region will ONLY accept ELECTRONIC BID SUBMISSIONS submitted through the Region’s Bids and Tenders website for this Request for Tender. HARD COPY BID SUBMISSIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Bids must be submitted and received by the Region no later than 1:00:00 p.m., Eastern Standard Time as established by the Research Council of Canada.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The Work includes, but is not limited to, the following work in the Township of King, as further described in Appendix C – Form of Contract:

• Rehabilitation of a bridge (11-18 B2270) on King Road (Y.R. 11), 30 m west of Keele Street (Y.R. 6)
• Rehabilitation of a bridge (06-18 B0100) on Keele Street (Y.R. 6), 50 m north of King Road (Y.R. 11)
• Improvements at the intersection of King Road (Y.R. 11) and Keele Street (Y.R. 6)

Bidders are advised that the Work will be performed during the 2024 and 2025 construction seasons.

The following is a list of prequalified bidders that have been approved to submit bids in response to this RFT under Request for Prequalification (“RFPQ”) No. RFPQ-1363-23:

Any bids received from bidders not listed above shall be rejected from further consideration.

Bidders are reminded of the two (2) contract limit as further described in the RFPQ documents for RFPQ Nos. RFPQ-1350-23 and RFPQ-1363-23.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENT(S):

• CERTIFICATE OF RECOGNITION (COR™): Any proposals received from proponents who are not Certificate of Recognition (COR™) certified, who have not obtained COR equivalency or who have not submitted a valid Letter of Reciprocity shall be rejected from further consideration.
• DEPOSIT: All Bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in the amount of not less than 10% of the Subtotal Contract Amount generated on the Bidding Website in the Schedule of Prices (the “Bid Price”), to act as security for the satisfaction of the pre-conditions of award listed in Section E. The bid deposit shall be in the form of a digital Bid Bond from a recognized guarantee or surety company acceptable to the Region and authorized by law to do business in the Province of Ontario.  Bidders shall submit a digital Undertaking to Bond with their Bid.
