Special Events Road Closures

The City of Brampton is seeking a contractor to provide all labour, supervision, management, tools, supplies, fuel, equipment, and material required to erect and remove traffic control for various City events, including the Brampton Farmers' Market (18 times), Brampton 50th Celebration, Canada Day, Diwali Festival, Tree Lighting Event, New Year Event, and any other unscheduled events on a when-required basis.

The contractor will be required to provide traffic control plans and detour plans (when required) for all events to the City for review two weeks prior to the event. The contractor shall be responsible for all changes to the traffic control plan that may be required by the City. The contractor shall be responsible for maintaining regular communication with the City of Brampton prior to the start of each event. The contractor shall be responsible for implementing any changes to the traffic control for the various events up to 24 hours prior to the start of the event if/when requested by the City of Brampton.

Interested contractors must possess the necessary experience, qualifications, and resources to meet the requirements outlined in this procurement statement. The contract will be awarded based on the best value to the City.

The City of Brampton reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive irregularities or informalities in any bid, and to accept any bid deemed to be in the best interest of the City.

All bids must be submitted in accordance with the instructions provided in the bid document and received by the City no later than the closing date and time specified in the bid document.
