RIVER TRAINING WORKS AT ASSINIBOINE RIVER (GRAND VALLEY):

River Training Works including reshaping of bridge embankments, construction of three deflection rock spurs, construction of the west guidebank, and channel riprap works including east riverbank protection. Offsetting Works includes river bank reshaping, native revegetation, and willow planting. The River Training Work is located along the Trans-Canada Highway over the Assiniboine River at Grand Valley, located near the eastbound and westbound lanes of PTH 1W in section 27-10-20W. The Offsetting Works is located at SW29-10-22W in the Rural Municipality of Whitehead.
