    RFP Scope:

FCC wants to modernize our tech-stack for marketing content which includes replacing our legacy CMS to a composable architecture to support our public facing websites (primarily fcc-fac.ca and agexpert.ca, with additional microsites) and enable an omnichannel experience. These expectations have put new demands on how FCC content should be managed digitally, leading FCC to choose a headless content management system (CMS) to provide a central hub for authoring, assembling, editing, and managing content. In addition to the backend, FCC also will choose a frontend framework that works with the backend to build the UI for the public facing websites using APIs. This framework will provide a unified data layer to enable FCC developers to easily combine data from different sources, including the headless CMS, and render them alongside each other. FCC’s goal is to procure a headless CMS and a frontend framework that is compatible with this backend. FCC is looking to have an architecture that is:

    • Lightweight

    • Composable: the CMS will do the content management and we will leverage tools for frontend, analytics, search, personalization, etc.

    • Requires less proprietary expertise: we want to leverage mature open-source projects with robust documentation.

    • Omnichannel: using REST APIs, to easily integrate into the website itself, but also mobile apps and digital banking sites.
