CanadaBuys: A new way of doing business


The Government of Canada is continuing its transition to electronic procurement by launching a new tendering service on CanadaBuys. This platform is now available for preview. We invite you to explore the Tender opportunities page to become familiar with the new way of searching for tender and award notices. With CanadaBuys, you will get:

  • a single place to view tender opportunities from federal, provincial and territorial governments, as well as academic institutions, schools and hospitals
  • a new way of finding tender opportunities, with a more intuitive keyword search and simplified filters
  • options to subscribe for updates or follow a saved search on a topic of interest

CanadaBuys is part of the Canadian government’s move to modernize its procurement services. The suite of new tools includes SAP Ariba, a procurement solution that Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) is already using to post tender opportunities.

More about the move to CanadaBuys

This fall, CanadaBuys will officially replace the Buyandsell tendering service. Until then, Buyandsell will continue to be your official source for Government of Canada tender and award notices. Information about how government does business will also be available on CanadaBuys. 

The move to CanadaBuys will happen in stages. Over time, you will see pages on Buyandsell redirect to CanadaBuys. We will do our best to make the change as seamless as possible.
