Work under this Standing Offer (SO) shall comprise the supply of all labour, materials, tools, equipment, transportation and supervision necessary to remove or encapsulate asbestos from buildings at 4 Wing Cold Lake, Alberta (including potential work on the Primrose Lake Evaluation Range). Contractor must supply third party Air quality monitoring as required, as well as provide detailed sampling/abatement and air clearance reports for any asbestos related work. All asbestos related work (including testing, containment, abatement, encapsulation, air quality monitoring, handling, storage and disposal) must comply with all current Federal and Provincial regulations. The Notification of Abatement, proof of DOP tested equipment, as well as worker certifications must be readily available at each work site. A detailed scope of work will be provided for each task and location. Note that certain jobs may require re-insulation of piping after the asbestos is removed. Also, certain areas may also contain mold, lead paint or other hazmat which will need to be remediated in conjunction with the asbestos.
